Raven Fencing

Wow! What a grueling evening.... Each fencer started the session off by taking on the Coach in a 3 minute 5 point match. Thereafter next in line took on everyone else and so we carried on. A marathon of epic fencing. So proud of you people. We're half way there and will conclude on Thursday night. This is what we trained for! Salute!

Fencers don’t disappoint at rankings Fencers competed in the 2015 Limpopo third rankings at the sport and recreational centre on Saturday.

Three months of hard pushing and endless repetition and I can say with confidence that the Raven Fencers are practicing this art within the boundaries of the F.I.E. rules as published by British Fencing.

The coaching was certainly a challenge and something frown at and even criticized by some. The proof of their accomplishment, though, is evident in their approach on piste, their ex*****on of sound principles and their interpretation of opponent's offensive and defensive actions. They have become what the Rules intended them to be: Intelligent Fencers.
