Dear Participating Provinces, Regions, Invitees and SWPSA Executive Members

We were informed late on Friday afternoon (2 December) that the Department of Basic Education has withdrawn permission for the use of Durban High School as an IPT venue i.e. after having given permission more than four months ago!

After much running around by the KZNSWP LOC over the weekend and this morning they have been able to secure the use of Northlands Girls’ High School (16 Cadogan Drive, Durban North, Durban) to host the U13 Boys Section.

We apologise for the late change and any inconvenience it has caused – unfortunately the change was outside the control of both the KZNSWP LOC and SWPSA.

We look forward to seeing you all this coming Saturday.

Awesome to see so much IPT representation at the University Tournament

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! And especially our Manta Rays athletes and coaches who will be representing their respective teams this week 💪🏽

Before we turn our focus to IPT, we have the USSA (University Sport South Africa) water polo tournament that takes place from the 7th to 9th December hosted by The IIE’s Varsity College in Durban.

A few of our NMBSWP coaches and managers are involved in this national tournament that will see SA’s top universities battle it out against each other in the pool.

Best of luck to our NMB u19 Ladies’ coaches Delaine Mentoor and Erin Harty as well as our NMB u13 Girl’s coach and manager, Meghan Maartens and Megan Rautenbach as they coach and play in the NMU Ladies’ team. Also to NMB u14 Boy’s coach, Seth Harty, playing in the NMU Men’s team.

Our NMB u16 Boy’s coach, Seko Zondani and NMB u15 Boy’s manager, Staci Edwards, will also be taking part in USSA as part of the Varsity College team and we wish them loads of luck as well.

Linzi Scholtz, one of our NMBA Officials is flying the NMBA flag high. Linzi is not only the youngest FINA-certified Referee in SA but also one of only three ladies in the country to be FINA-certified.
