The lights are a go!
Onwards and upwards for VP hockey!
Let there be light! We are thrilled to announce a game-changing upgrade to our sports facilities: the official installation of our brand-new astro turf floodlights.
This major development reaches far beyond the astro turf itself. Powerful, high-performance lights are also being erected to illuminate our adjacent athletics fields, cricket pitches, rugby, and soccer fields.
What this means for our athletes:
Extended Training Hours: Teams can now train safely and effectively later into the evening, maximizing session quality without racing the sunset.
Night Match Atmosphere: Hosting evening fixtures under the lights brings an electrifying, stadium-like energy to home games for players and spectators alike.
All-Season Flexibility: Winter practices and late-afternoon field rotations become seamless across every single sporting code.
This project represents a massive leap forward for Victoria Park High School, elevating our sport programs and offering incredible value to every student who wears the VP jersey.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our School Governing Body (SGB) for their unwavering support and investment in our vision. Their commitment to improving our infrastructure ensures that VP High continues to shine both on and off the field.
