What a tournament for our Grey High u16A Hockey side at the SA u16 Top Schools Tournament in Paarl. The boys produced some outstanding hockey throughout the competition, finishing unbeaten and earning their place as Tournament Champions after a 1-0 victory over St Andrew’s School Bloem in the final.

This weekend, Grey High School welcomes the boys, families, and supporters of Selborne College from East London for our Derby fixtures.

Our campus will be buzzing with schoolboy sport, community spirit and plenty to enjoy, with the Grey High Hostel Farmers' Market also taking place this weekend and starts on Friday from 8:30am.

A Historic Milestone for Grey High Hockey! 🏑

Congratulations to Luke Tait on earning his 100th Cap for the Grey High School 1st Hockey XI — a rare and remarkable achievement, last seen over two decades ago!

Luke was honoured with a special framed jersey, presented by the Rector ahead of the team’s hard-fought 1–0 victory over St Andrew’s College on the beloved Rectory Astro.

Some of our Grey High hockey boys, along with Grey High Hockey coach Mr James Atherton, took part in the PSI Indoor Nationals in Cape Town from 14 to 18 December. The Mother City hosted the teams, all coming together for an unforgettable indoor hockey experience.

Congratulations to Dante Elkington, James Chree, Connor Halforty and Michael Gillies (non-travelling reserve) on their selection to the RSAWEB PSI Nationals 2025 All Star Teams. Our boys also formed part of the Vipers team that reached the Cup final and proudly brought home silver.

A special mention to Dante Elkington, who was named U16 Boys Player of the Tournament. We are incredibly proud of the way our Grey boys represented the school on such a big stage.

A strong start to the season for our Grey High 1st Hockey Team at the Tony Godding Hockey Festival in East London.

The boys showed great focus and teamwork across the weekend, opening their campaign with three solid wins:

Well played, boys. A promising beginning to the season and a proud moment for Grey hockey.

Stormy skies set the tone as our Grey High U16 hockey sides hosted Paul Roos on Friday evening. A late afternoon hailstorm brought disruption and a shift in momentum, but the boys adapted well, keeping their focus through a demanding and stop start contest. Fixtures carried over into Saturday morning, where the teams returned ready to compete and see out the weekend’s play.

A special milestone worth celebrating was the 50th Cap for Grey High 1st Team players Matthew Allibone and Keegan Le Roux. Thank you to the Wynberg 1st Hockey boys for helping honour and celebrate this memorable achievement in such a respectful and meaningful way.
