🌧️⛳️ Despite the ghastly weather on Women’s Day, the EP Seniors battled through for the playing of the August Order of Merit event at Wedgewood Country Club & Golf Estate. Belting winds and bucketing rain made it brutal and the event was reduced to 9 holes as the heavens opened and greens flooded.
Winner, our evergreen Michael Holden shot a level round like he didn’t get the memo — what a champ! 👏🏆
Attie Burger took the Super Seniors honours, and Freddie Sysaar won the Stableford competition with a two under handicap, 20 points.
For clarity: the Seniors and Super Seniors Divisions play off scratch (zero handicap). The Stableford competition (run within Order of Merit events) is a handicap-based challenge where you compete against golfers across the province in a formal tournament setting. Men over 50 with the golfing fire in your bellies — come tee it up with us! It is a wonderful experience. You're welcome. See upcoming events at www.epgolf.co.za and enter online!
