Congratulations to Crusaders members Gavin Rogers for winning EP Colours in the 60-64 age group, and Joan Marlborough for EP colours in the 70-74 age category. We are super proud of you both - Gavin, your grit, determination and consistency in your training, and always showing up, is an inspiration to us all. What you have achieved in your running goals says it all. And Joan, in your quiet way, you consistently show up, always pushing your boundaries and showing us what can be achieved. Both Gavin and Joan also took podium places at this weekend’s 15km Forest Hill run. We will be cheering you on in the SA Champs and Nelson Mandela Bay half-marathon on Saturday 27 June at Pollok Beach 🔥🔥🔥

Crusaders Athletic Club members have completed many Comrades Marathon over the years, including husband & wife team Mike & Elaine Burger, Peter Duffel-Canham and Paul Lubbe. This week Crusaders gave the club members who are running this epic race a pasta send-off party, where memories, medals and good times were shared. Wishing the 2026 entrants good luck for Sunday 14 June on the up-run!

We are so proud of the Crusaders members who have completed a Comrades Marathon - the world’s oldest and biggest ultramarathon drawing professional and club runners from around the world. There are more than 22,000 runners on Sunday and Crusaders members Nicholas (13th), Christopher (6th) and Japie (first time) will be among them. Wishing you guys all the best, strength to your legs and to your spirit! (and, no, I cannot tell tell you who is Nicholas and who is Christopher, but they are both superb runners!)

The Cape Town Marathon this year saw Crusaders members Donovan, Alex, Sam, Gavin, Angela, Plaxcedes take on the 42.2km marathon in near perfect weather conditions yesterday, while Megan and Sjani tackled the 10km Peace Run on Saturday. Congrats to all our Crusaders runners, wishing you safe travels on the road home, we look forward to seeing your medals at the next social 🥇🥈🥉Thanks for the pics Steven & Megan 📷
