She took her broken wings and learned how to fly — turning pain into purpose.

05/10/2026

Lord, heal in me what I can't even name, the wounds I don't have words for, the pain I can't pinpoint, the broken places I sense but can't explain or describe.

Something hurts inside me but I can't identify it, can't trace where it started or why it won't go away, can't tell others about it because I don't understand it myself.

Teach me that You see what I can't see in myself, know what I don't know about my own heart, understand the unnamed pain better than I ever could.

I don't need to diagnose my own wounds to bring them to You, don't need to explain what I can't articulate, don't need to understand what needs healing before asking You to heal it.

Help me trust that You can heal what I can't name, that Your power reaches places I can't access, that Your healing goes deeper than my understanding of what's broken.

Remind me that unnamed doesn't mean unknown to You, that what's mysterious to me is clear to You, that You see every wound even ones I'm not conscious of carrying.

Give me courage to ask for healing even when I can't explain what hurts, faith that You know what needs Your touch, trust that You can heal what I can't name.

Let Your healing reach the unnamed places today, touching wounds I don't understand, mending what I can't articulate, restoring what I can only sense needs restoration.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

When something goes wrong, my mind doesn’t usually go, “Let’s be still.” It goes, “Right, what are we gonna do about this?” Then I’m thinking through every possible outcome, having conversations in my head and wearing myself out before I’ve even done anything.

Many of us know that fight, flight or freeze feeling. And freezing doesn’t always mean we’re calm, sometimes we’ve just gone quiet and feel miles away from everything.

I think about the Israelites seeing the Egyptians coming towards them, with the sea in front of them. They were terrified, questioning why they’d left Egypt, saying it would’ve been better to stay than die out there. They’d been desperate to leave, and now they were frightened of what came next. I can understand that.

Moses told them, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14, NIV.

Maybe we need to sit with that Scripture for a little while, let it sink in instead of rushing straight back to working everything out. Especially when we’re exhausted from the fear, the thoughts and the spiritual battles we keep trying to fight in our own strength.

And surrender around here looks like me holding my hands up and going, “Lord, I’m gonna let You fight for me, because I’m pretty bad at clearing my own path. I’m gonna stand right here, let You do the work and step when You tell me to step.”

Sounds easy, right? Well, let me tell you, it took me a long time to let that control go. I still catch myself reaching for it.

But He’s the One who parted the waters and made a way. I can be still, rest in knowing He’s got me, and trust Him with the next step instead of trying to clear the whole path myself.

I hope you feel this today and pass it along to another that could use the encouragement.

🍂 Sometimes Beauty Is Found in the Fallen Moments

Not every season is about blooming. 🌿
Sometimes, it's about letting go.

A leaf can fall, be carried by the rain, become weathered and worn — and still hold a beauty of its own.

Life is much the same.
The moments that break us, change us, or leave us feeling a little lost don't mean our story is over.

Sometimes, we simply need to pause…
breathe…
let go…
and trust that there is still beauty waiting to be found.

You don't have to be blooming to be beautiful. ❤️

🌸 A little reminder from nature… 🌸

Flowers don’t rush to bloom. They simply grow, face the rain, reach for the light, and become exactly what they were meant to be. 🌿✨

Sometimes we need to do the same.
Take your time.
Keep growing.
Find the light.
And remember that beautiful things can bloom even after difficult seasons. ❤️

Somehow, We Are Still Healing

This painting was created on ice the morning after everything happened.

Two faces, meeting in the middle.
Surrounded by cracks.
Fragile. Broken. Yet somehow still connected.

And perhaps that is what healing in a relationship really looks like.

It isn't pretending the cracks were never there.
It isn't forgetting what happened.
It isn't waking up one morning and suddenly feeling whole again.

Sometimes healing is simply choosing to stay present while everything feels fragile.

The ice beneath this painting was temporary. By the next morning, it was gone.

And there is something incredibly powerful about that.

Because pain can feel permanent when you're standing in the middle of it. The cracks can look like they have changed everything forever. But nothing stays frozen forever. The things that once felt solid can melt, shift and transform.

Relationships can be like that too.

Sometimes two people hurt each other. Sometimes trust cracks. Sometimes love becomes buried beneath disappointment, anger, sadness and things that cannot simply be undone.

But healing doesn't necessarily mean going back to the way things were.

It means creating something new from what survived.

Learning to speak differently.
Learning to listen again.
Learning to be vulnerable without fear.
Learning that forgiveness doesn't erase the hurt.
Learning that rebuilding trust takes time.
Learning to choose each other—not because the relationship is perfect, but because both people are willing to do the work.

And maybe the most beautiful part of this painting is that it was never meant to last.

The ice melted.

The image disappeared.

But for a moment, it captured something real:

Two people standing on opposite sides of the cracks, still looking toward each other.

Maybe healing is exactly that.

Not having all the answers.
Not knowing what tomorrow will look like.
Just choosing, little by little, to keep looking toward each other while the ice melts beneath your feet.

Because sometimes what is broken doesn't need to be hidden.

Sometimes the cracks become part of the story.

And sometimes, somehow, love finds a way to keep healing between us. ❤️
