CAF has officially rejected Congo’s request to enter clubs in the 2026/27 CAF Interclub competitions. 🇨🇬

𝐖𝐡𝐲?

CAF regulations state that if a country’s national league or national cup has not been played for more than one year, its clubs cannot participate in the Champions League or Confederation Cup.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫:

• TAC Léopards de Dolisie for the CAF Champions League.

• AS Otoho for the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, CAF rejected the request after confirming the country’s domestic competitions do not meet the required regulations.

As a result, 𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 have now received a bye and will not play in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

They will enter the competition directly in the second preliminary round. ✌🏼
