WaterBears Swim Club is incredibly proud of Jayden Venter and his performance at the SA National Short Course Championships (25m) held at G.C. Jolliffe Swimming Pool in Pietermaritzburg from 24–27 September 2026! 🏆

Four fantastic swims and TWO personal bests!

Men’s 100m Backstroke: 1:04,14 — ⭐ PB!
Men’s 50m Freestyle: 24,90
Men’s 100m Freestyle: 56,86
Men’s 50m Backstroke: 29.04 — ⭐ PB!

Every race is an opportunity to grow, every personal best reflects progress, and every achievement is a reminder of what dedication and hard work can accomplish.

Jayden, congratulations on representing WaterBears on the national stage! Keep pushing your limits, chasing your goals and making waves. We can’t wait to see what you achieve next! 🐻‍❄️🫧

September NTS Age Group Gala

What a swim! 🐻‍❄️🫧🤍

Our swimmers swam beautifully, with 14 personal bests achieved!

But this gala was about so much more than PBs. Many swimmers were challenged outside their comfort zones, swimming strokes and distances they had never raced before — creating opportunities to learn, adapt and grow.

There was a big focus on process goals: correct stroke technique, strong starts, fast turns and, most importantly, executing what they’ve been working on in training.

The PBs were simply the cherry on top!

So proud of every swimmer who stepped up to the challenge and gave it their all. 🤍

What an incredible Inter-School Gala at Laerskool Anton van Wouw! 🤍🫧

🤍 21 of the 48 records broken today were claimed by WaterBears swimmers!

🤍 67 podium finishes belong to our WaterBears swimmers!

But beyond the records and podiums, we are incredibly proud of EVERY single swimmer who showed up, worked hard, and put their swimming skills to the test today. Your progress, determination and effort are what we celebrate most. 🤍

Well done, WaterBears! We are so proud of each and every one of you.
