I came across this on the internet the other day, and I just had to share it because the message behind this is so powerful.
Over the years, I've had so many clients tell me they don't want to go to the gym because they're scared people will stare at them or judge them for how they look.
My answer has always been simple: You're making a big mistake.
The gym is one of the few places where almost everyone has the same goal... to become a better version of themselves.
Whenever I see someone new walk into the gym, I never think, "Why are they here?" I think, "Good for you! You made the decision to invest in yourself." That takes courage.
We don't judge here. We work here. We don't know anyone's story, and it's not our job to. What we do recognise is that someone chose to take a step in the right direction, and that's something to respect.
And let's be honest... most of us are too busy trying to catch our breath after a set to worry about what someone else is doing! 😂
So today, wherever you are on your fitness journey, don't let insecurity keep you away. Walk into that gym with your head held high, knowing you're doing something amazing for yourself.
Because every single person in that gym had a Day One. Today could be yours. 💪❤️

To many people, being skinny is the new “beautiful”. But for me as a trainer, being strong and healthy is beautiful. 💪
A huge well done to my amazing client, Antoinette! She has been working towards this goal since 2023 and has never stopped putting in the effort. Her dedication, consistency, and hard work have truly paid off. I am so proud of how far she has come. We have come such a long way together, and this is only the beginning! ❤️

Going through perimenopause or menopause? 🌸
Take a moment to read my client Mariëtte's testimonial. Less than a year ago, she was navigating the challenges that so many women face during this stage of life, and just look at her now! She looks absolutely incredible.
Her transformation is proof that with the right plan, consistency, and a determined mindset, amazing progress is possible. 💪
Your hormones may change, but your goals don't have to.

Little honest post today…
I haven’t really been feeling like myself lately and maybe some of you can relate to this.
Perimenopause and menopause is something every woman will face, but nobody truly prepares you for it. One day you are fine, the next you are sweating through your pajamas at 2am wondering if Eskom moved into your body. 😅
About 3 years ago I had all the symptoms… night sweats, insomnia, hair loss and heart palpitations so bad I thought I was dying. Then it suddenly stopped and I felt normal again.
Well… apparently not. 😅
Two months ago it hit me again like a bulldozer, just differently this time. The exhaustion was overwhelming, my skin became so dry that the Kalahari wasn't a match and the hair loss was next level. Emotionally? Yoh. One minute you are fine, next minute you cry because somebody ate the last piece of broccoli 🥦.
After blood tests it was confirmed once again: I am not dying, I don't need a psychiatrist...my hormones are simply having a wild farewell party.
What many women don’t realize is that hormonal changes can affect sleep, mood, metabolism, muscle mass, weight gain and even bone density. As estrogen declines, strength training and proper nutrition becomes even more important after 35 to support muscle, bone health, energy and overall wellness.
And no… surviving on coffee, one Provita and pure stress is unfortunately not a wellness plan anymore. 😅
To every woman reading this: you are not failing. You are still beautiful and strong. Your body is changing. Keep going, even on the hard days.
And to every man reading this… she is still the same "Susan" you married. She just needs support, patience, a hug… and definitely snacks. ❤️
🤗
