USE OF THE GOLF COURSE DURING CLUB CHAMPS

This coming weekend, from 29 to 31 May, we will be hosting the Silver Lakes Golf Club Championship.
Residents are welcome to come and support the golfers; however, we kindly request that you refrain from using the golf course during golfing hours to allow play to continue uninterrupted during this prestigious event.

📣 UPDATE: MUIRFIELD GATE UPGRADE WORKS - NO EXPECTED GATE DISRUPTIONS

Further to our earlier communication regarding possible disruptions at the Muirfield Security Gate tomorrow morning, please note the following update:

There is currently no expectation of disruptions at the Muirfield gate during the scheduled upgrade works.

However, should the upgrade extend beyond the planned two-hour window, the HOA office may experience temporary disruptions due to the nature of the works being undertaken.

We appreciate your understanding and will keep residents informed should there be any changes.

POTENTIAL DISRUPTION – MUIRFIELD SECURITY GATE

The Silver Lakes Homeowners Association (SLHOA) would like to notify residents of a potential disruption at the Muirfield Security Gate tomorrow morning, Friday, 29 May 2026, between 06:00 and 08:00.

This is due to scheduled upgrade works to the generator communication cables linked to the inverter system. Residents are requested to make allowance for possible delays during this period.

RAND WATER SHUTDOWN

The Silver Lakes Homeowners Association (SLHOA) received the following update from Cllr Malcolm de Klerk regarding the planned Rand Water shutdown:

Residents are kindly advised of the following:
- The planned shutdown will take place tomorrow for approximately 12 hours. This refers to a temporary shutdown of water production into the system and does not necessarily mean that residents will be without water.
- We have received confirmation that the system currently has sufficient water reserves to supply Pretoria East during this period, and Rand Water reservoir levels remain healthy.
- Based on the information received, no interruption to the water supply is expected in Silver Lakes during the shutdown.

TENNIS SOCIAL - NEW FORMAT - 3 JUNE 2026

Get ready for an evening of fun, fitness, and friendly competition!
Our weekly Wednesday Social Tennis sessions, led by our welcoming coaching team, are back.

We will be hosting the following formats on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, from 18:00 to 19:00:

Format
• Courts 1 & 2: Intermediate and Advanced Players – Match Play
• Court 3: Beginners (Kids & Adults) – Games & Drills

The Intermediate and Advanced sessions are ideal for competitive match play and faster-paced rallies.

Only 15 spaces are available for the Intermediate and Advanced players, and 15 spaces are available for the Beginners (Kids & Adults) group, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

PET WINTER COLLECTION: 29 MAY – 12 JUNE 2026

This winter, Silver Lakes will be collecting donations for animals in need to support Wollies Animal Shelter.

Residents are invited to donate any of the following items:
• Blankets
• Towels
• Cushions
• Dog and cat food

📍 Donation bins will be available at both gates
📅 Collection period: 29 May – 12 June 2026

Your support will help provide warmth, comfort, and care to animals during the colder winter months. Every donation will make a meaningful difference.
