Orlando Pirates are expected to have a smooth sail past La Cure Waves on Saturday in the second leg of their CAF Champions League tie.
Orlando Pirates have been classed into the group of clubs expected to have a pedestrian stroll past the first qualifying round of the CAF Champions League this weekend.
According to the bookmakers, there will be little returns for a Pirates win which will give returns averaging 1,3 and still dropping while a shock result for the visitors will shoot all the way to double numbers bubbling towards 12.
The rest of the teams expected to go through include Petro de Luanda, Pyramids, Al Hilal, Zamalek, Young Africans, Club Africain, TP Mazembe, MC Alger, Stade Malien, and Simba.
La Cure Waves coach Jerome Thomas is aware of the challenge at hand for his amateur club with players who have day offs and who earn an average of R5000 every month from football.
"Orlando Pirates is a professional club, and we can’t compare with La Cure, an amateur club," notes Thomas.
"Orlando Pirates is many levels higher than La Cure Waves.
"We are here to learn and take good experiences so we can do better for the future.
"Some of our players have played in international matches and some of them have and more experience.
"We have come here with the layers ready to give all the capacity and we will go all out for the match.
"We will take the second leg serious and give it our all.
"We expect to give a good performance, and anything can happen in football and so why not a good result here.
"Regarding the altitude, we have had some issues with some players finding it difficult to breathe but we have had two days for adaptation.
"The match will be very difficult, and I have learnt that it is very difficult to play in this stadium because of the supporters and the atmosphere.
"But I think my players are ready to play a good match and why not a good result after that," says Thomas.
