You already know and love the original YUM Dinger, but have you had a chance to try the Thump'N Dinger yet? The hard U-shaped tail adds a panicky swimming motion big bass can't resist plus you can fish them slow, fast, or anywhere in between.

One of the best ways to target bass, especially when they’re holding tight to the bottom or relating to offshore rock piles is with a Yum Finesse Worm in Dirt Purple, Neko rigged with a 1/16oz nail weight.

Cast it out and let it sink all the way to the bottom before slowly dragging or lightly hopping it back. When hopping the bait, be careful not to lift your rod tip more than 20cm, especially once the water gets properly cold. The key is to work it subtly in place, and you cannot fish it too slow.

Whether fishing from the bank or targeting offshore structure from a boat, this slow bottom presentation consistently produces in winter conditions.

Setup:
Okuma 6’8” Ned Rig Rod
2000 Size Okuma Ceymar
10lb Boss Braid Perma Black Line

Developed by Bassmaster Classic champion and pro angler Jason Christie, the YUM Covert Trailer features a simplistic yet highly effective design that makes it ideal for pairing with your favorite model of the Booyah Covert spinnerbait. The ultra-slim profile of the Covert Trailer is crafted from soft plastic that's boosted with a proprietary blend of enzymes and natural attractants to help spark the feeding instincts of big bass.

Crafted for durability and tantalizing movement, the solid body allows for easy and secure rigging, while the rear section sports two long, narrow tails with tiny boots on the ends that freely flutter, kick, and undulate during retrieval. Additionally, each trailer features molded alignment lines for accurate rigging and a tearable front portion to perfectly fit standard and finesse-sized baits. The YUM Covert Trailer is available in a range of colors and provides an easy way for any angler to enhance the overall appearance and action of their most productive spinnerbaits.

As bass start moving off the spawning flats and heading back to deeper water, a weightless stickbait like YUM’s Dinger can be absolutely deadly. Lee de B**r recently dialed in this pattern at Doorndraai, saying: “On a recent trip, the 4-inch Dinger in Watermelon Candy was the answer. The fish were just off the shallows, and if it wasn’t the 4-inch Dinger, it was hard to get a bite!”
