Presidential Award – Sebolai Offering Tlaka

The final Announcement of the 2019 SAGF Awards is the Presidential Award, which is awarded in recognition of an outstanding achievement by an individual within the Federation.

The 2019 Presidential Award is bestowed on Sebolai Offering Tlaka.

This young man from Cullinan in Gauteng, is the proud coach of Tshepang Mamabolo, who won a Silver medal on Double Mini, at the 2019 Trampoline World Age Group Competition (WAGC) in Tokyo, Japan. At the last 4 WAGC, Tshepang has made 3 finals – an outstanding achievement.

Offering started gymnastics with Dolfyne Trampoline Club in 2001at the age of 12 and 1 year later made the Junior team to represent South Africa.

He moved to TUKS Trampoline in 2005, and between 2005 and 2018, he represented South Africa in both Double Mini and Trampoline at numerus African Champs, Indo Pacific and WAGC events. Offering medaled on more than one occasion and made numerous finals.

In total he represented RSA at 7 Senior World Champs, has 3 African titles and 10 national titles, under his belt.

In 2014, Offering was awarded the FIG Pin for World Class status – one of only 10 South African gymnasts to achieve this.

Offering has been accepted to be involved in the AUSC Region 5 TAFISA online leadership course for Sport for All. He is one of 30 participants from 8 countries to be invited to attend.

Offering is also the Vice President of the Gauteng Gymnastics Association.

This young man is certainly making his mark in the gymnastics fraternity.
