𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
✅ NQF Level 7 qualification
✅ At least five to eight years' experience in sponsorship, fundraising, business development, or corporate partnerships

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀
✔️ Expert knowledge of sport commercialisation, project management skills, and strategic and operational planning
✔️ Advanced knowledge of proposal writing, fundraising, marketing & communications, and stakeholder relationship management
✔️ Sound financial management knowledge
✔️ Proficiency in CRM databases
✔️ Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL and Power BI
✔️ Experience with project and event management systems for sponsorship tracking, reporting and archiving

🔸 Postgraduate qualification in Sport Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

🔸 Experience in sports marketing, sponsorships, stakeholder engagement, alumni relations, and fundraising

𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

We are pleased to welcome Senzo Mbatha as the new Deputy Director: Sports Operations Management.

In this role, Mbatha will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the department, ensuring strong governance and professional standards across our programmes as we continue to position sport at the University of Pretoria as a leader on the local, national and international stage.

He brings extensive executive leadership experience spanning sport administration, commercial strategy and organisational development, supported by an MBA from the University of Cumbria. Mbatha has held senior management positions across major African sporting organisations, including his involvement with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where he served as a Deputy Tournament Director.
