Timothy Meuwsen of is ready to represent Team South Africa at the Glasgow 2026 in Scotland. 🇿🇦🥋

Currently ranked 43rd in the world in the -81 kg division, the UP-Tuks judoka heads to the Games as the reigning 2026 African Senior Judo Champion, having claimed gold in Kenya earlier this year.

Glasgow 2026 will mark Meuwsen's Commonwealth Games debut. While he admits to feeling a few nerves, his belief in his ability remains unwavering.

Chris Smith of , is set to represent Team South Africa at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games in Scotland. 🇿🇦🏊

The 20-year-old has already established himself as one of South Africa's brightest swimming talents. His standout achievement came at the 2024 World Short Course Swimming Championships in Budapest, where, at just 18 years old, he set a WORLD JUNIOR RECORD of 25.66 seconds in the 50m breaststroke—one of the six fastest times in the world that year.

He continued his rise at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, finishing sixth in the 50m breaststroke final and eighth in the 100m breaststroke. This year, Smith claimed the South African title in the 50m breaststroke, having won the 100m breaststroke national title in 2025.

Now, a new challenge awaits on the Commonwealth Games stage.

🗣️ "I definitely need to be more consistent. That's why I dedicate time every second day to working on my turns. There are also aspects of my technique that I'm refining to improve. In swimming, every millisecond counts when you race."

Bronwyn Kerr captained at the 2026 USSA Women's Indoor Volleyball Championships, leading by example both on and off the court. 🏐

For Bronwyn, volleyball is about much more than winning matches—it's about trust, teamwork and striving towards a shared goal.

The world is counting down to the LA 2028 Olympic Games, with the next Summer Olympics set to take place in Los Angeles, California, from 14–30 July 2028.

A record-breaking 353 medal events will be contested, making one of the biggest Olympic Games in history.

The Games will also welcome some exciting additions to the programme:

✨ Making their Olympic debut: Flag football and squash.
🔙 Returning to the Olympic stage: Baseball, softball, cricket and lacrosse.

Congratulations to the affiliates, Kamogelo Maseko, Jamie Golob (née van Wyk) and head coach Jenny van Dyk on their selection to represent 🇿🇦 South Africa at the 2026 in Glasgow, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland.

The netball tournament will be played from 25 July to 2 August, with South Africa drawn in Pool A alongside Australia, England, Malawi, Tonga and Northern Ireland.
