Just a heads up on the group at SASC in PmB.

Day 1 performances were as to be expected - how you train is how you race

However Coach Rocco put it in a nutshell & we must take cognisance of his wise words shared on the group last night.

Team Tuks ..
Day 1 is done .. the ice is broken and most had solid performances .

DO NOT spend too much emotional energy on debriefing your swims of today & with processing it !
Its DONE !

Keep your thoughts on the "here & now" - stay IN THE MOMENT !

Switch off tonight & Reset tomorrow morning .

It’s been a busy day for several of our “Squaddies”, with the 🍒highlight of the day🍒, without a doubt, the 12th place finish for 🇿🇦Jeanè Smith🇿🇦 at the 2026 World Triathlon Championship Finals in Pontevedra, Spain.

Jeanè locked horns with the world’s elite triathletes this afternoon in what was her biggest challenge of her career to date. Jeanè produced a measured swim🏊🏻‍♀️, strong cycle🚴🏻‍♂️ and stellar run🏃🏻‍♀️ for a time of 1:15.34 a mere 26 seconds behind her compatriot, 🇿🇦Wilmien Verbeek🇿🇦 who claimed the 11th place.

There were 60 competitors that lined up for this event

Congratulations Jeanè. We at NSSS are extremely proud of your achievement. It is a justified reward to you determination and commitment to this multi disciplined sport. Well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
