BRONZE BREAM/BLUE FISH IN THE EC
Area - East London
Hook trace - Maxima 20 to 40lb marine/ultra green
Hook – Land-it Octopus 1/0 or Octopus 1/0 4x (if there are larger reef dwellers in the area fished such as cracker)

A fish that can be a lot of fun to catch if fished with light tackle. Throwing a pink prawn bait with a 3oz into a good working gully which is known to have a lot of the “green weed” which blues eat, I hooked into a really good size blue. They are every strong fish for their size and give up a great fight right until the very end.
My favourite part about catching a good size blue is when he is really close and he gives you a last proper pull. Blue fish are up there with the most tastiest of fish in the EC.
Their bag limit is 2 per angler and a size limit of 30cm.

You need the 4x heavy hook to withstand the strength of the crackers jaw, these fish are incredibly strong, not just the fight but their jaw strength aswell.
