With the 72nd over this past weekend I have a lot to reflect on.
Saturday was overall a good day considering the cold rainy weather. Qualified second with a 689.
Sunday started out very well with a 147 in my first match in the quarters, however the semis it got away from me a bit which left me shooting for bronze against "kragaap", Christian De Klerk, he got the upper hand and that left me with 4th for the weekend.
Overall happy with where I am with my shooting and some things to work on
Huge thanks to everyone who made this tournament possible, it was definitely one of the best Nationals yet!

Saturday started slow with a 685.
Today some solid scores with 699 and 698.

This weekend saw the National Indoor Archery Championships take place and to be honest I don't really know what to say.
I've had the goal of shooting a full round on the 5 spot target for some time now and I was feeling good going into the weekend. Yesterday my goal came true after a solid round with my new Hoyt Altus and got the 60X. Today I was happy with doing my best and if it goes well it goes well and to say the least it went extremely well. Not only did I have the privilege to be able to shoot 2 60X rounds, but I also had my family there supporting me since the very beginning.
And this after I reached probably my highest goal thus far in archery about a month ago by shooting my first 700 with a 701 so I'm adding that as well.
A big thankyou to Magnum Archery for the continued support over the years and providing the best equipment in the world in my opinion.

The World Youth Archery Championships is over and I must admit it was one of the best experiences of my life!
Practice on Monday went well and I was excited for Tuesday.
I started qualifications really strongly but it got to my head a little in the 5th end and never really got rolling again and ended with a 683/720.
On Wednesday I shot my first match in die 1/32 and won with a good score of 147/150 to a 142. My second match in the 1/16 I wasn't as strong and made 2 unnecessary mistakes that cost me the match, 143 to 145, and that was it for my shooting.
After that I had the privilege to coach the cadet women team and cadet mixed team who ended 7th overall!
This competition was amazing and I was happy with my own shooting in addition to learning new things that I want to work on. I met some amazing people and made new friends.
I also just want to give a huge thanks to my parents, Jean and Gerda Aucamp, who have always supported me and my sister in our sport, even in tough times. Without them none of this would be possible.

2018 IFAA World Field Archery champion!
This past week has been one of the greatest experiences of my time doing archery. Since I started shooting a few years ago it's been a goal of mine to compete and medal at a world championship.
I'm really pleased and thankful to say that I achieved that goal this week and I also managed to break a Hunter round world record in the process by 7 on Tuesday points and equalled it again on Thursday with a 544/560.
My equipment performed excellently even when I didn't and couldn't be happier to shoot with what I do.
I want to thank everyone who has helped me achieve this accomplishment and also my sponsor Magnum Archery: Target.
