Proving age IS just a number! This is the amazing Jeannie Rice, aged 75, who won gold in Greensboro in the (W75) 5K with a time of 22:41:46. This betters the World Record 22:53:55 set by British legend Angela Copson in Tampere last year! Huge congratulations Jeannie! I’d take that time for my parkrun!

You have inspired 🏃‍♀️👏⭐️

A bottle of water in the supermarket is worth about R7.50. The same bottle in a bar costs R16,50. In a good restaurant or hotel it can be worth up to R22.00. At an airport or on the plane, you may be charged R26.00. The bottle and the brand is the same, the only thing that changes is the place.

Each place gives a different value to the same product. When you feel like you are worth nothing and everyone around you belittles you, change places, do not stay there. Have the courage to change places and go to a place where you are given the value you deserve. Surround yourself with people who really appreciate your worth. Don't settle for less!

Gemma was diagnosed with Acute Lymphloblastic Leukemia at the age of 2 and started her treatment in June 2014. Her symptoms was a pain in the legs, severe stomach ache and tiredness. She was on treatment for 2 and a half years at Little Company of Mary, she went through her treatment like the warrior she still is. Through this entire process, we as a family learned that nothing is impossible for our Lord Yeshua, Cupcakes of Hope helped us through this process with some medical bills as well as always checking up to see if we need anything or just to ask how we are doing. We were very blessed to have so many people, family, and friends that supported us through everything.”
Gemma, we are so impressed by your courage and endurance, your journey and bravery has inspired us and so many other children. May God continue to bless you with health and happiness.

JUST WHO IS YOUR CANCER HERO? That is the question on everyone's lips. As we approach June we remember that it's time to honour the cancer heroes and heroines that have touched our lives in a big or small way. Take some time to reflect and think about anyone you know is fighting this disease - like a brave warrior. And then show your love and support, in honour of their daily battle, by baking some yummy cupcakes that will go towards raising funds for children with cancer. Come on, it's time to honour your cancer heroes or heroines by baking a difference to their lives.

Ready, Steady - Bake! We celebrate our cancer survivors in June and we are asking you to take up the challenge. It's as easy as one, two, three.

1. Register and bake 24/48 Cupcakes https://bit.ly/3xDtLf3
2. Collect donations (R10-R20 per cupcake) from your friends and work colleagues. Our fundraiser ends on the 30th of June.
3. Change children's lives.

Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself!

Don't change so people will like you.
Be yourself and the right people will love you!

You know who you are!

🌸 Be you, beautifully you!
🌸 You are unique!
🌸 You are one-of-a-kind!
🌸 You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

May your weekend be filled with sunshine, joy and laughter.

May your hands be so busy catching blessings that they let go of things that no longer serve you.

"May the Lord bless you and keep you,
may the Lord keep His face shine upon you and be gracious to you,
may the Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
and give you His peace".
(Numbers 6:24-26)

🌸 Happy weekend! 🌸

Are you your true self with others?

People around us can influence us in many ways. Sometimes, they can also be the reason that we even become willing to give up our true selves just to be a part of their company.

If someone requires you to give up your true identity, they are not interested in a genuine relationship. Such relationships are usually based on self motive. Those who truly connect with you will want you to be your true self. They will never want you to change; instead, they will always appreciate and encourage you to be the best version of yourself.

Although certain people and their actions might seem fascinating, and we may even want to be like them, remember to belong somewhere; you shouldn't have to give up your true identity. You are who you are; no one should ever be able to change your true self.

Do you make yourself feel worthy?

Self-worth is about valuing yourself as an individual. When we feel worthy, we can add more worth to our lives and relationships.

It often happens that to please everyone else, we keep ourselves at the very last. We fulfil everyone else's needs and desires but ignore our own. We make everyone else happy but become unhappy from within. We must remember that although adjustments are needed in any relationship, fulfilling self needs, mental, physical, emotional and spiritual, is also important.

Look after your self needs. Do things that make you happy and worthy. It doesn't take much to feel valued. Sometimes, all you need is a little time with yourself.
