The horse heels use to been cut short and the toe was left long .

That means the day he got shoes he looked perfectly done .
But 2 to 3 weeks later as the toe grows forward the shoe starts moving forward until it's off the hard heel and on the soft soul. .
There it wil press hard and a blood blister " corn" wil form .
Now that it's wet the corn goes soft and an abuses will pop out.

Unfortunately there is no fast way or shortcuts but only time can fix it .

Job off the week quarter cracks

We had a really interesting job today .
An old traveling abcess that came out the top .
But alot of damage was done to the hoof wall and it can turn into white line disease if not managed
Extreme side clips were added to support the hoof and prevent more flaring off the hoof.

We have some more interesting long toe no heel shoeing this week from a new yard .

When your Farrier say we need to make the shoe smaller to prevent him from pulling a shoe .
That is the result corns and blood and pain .
