Watching Martin Zubimendi play at right-back genuinely drives me mad. 🤦‍♂️

I don’t care who the opponent is or what the scoreline looks like — if Hincapié is sitting on the bench, I’d much rather see Konsa move to the right and Hincapié come into the defence.

Putting Zubi at right-back just doesn’t make sense to me. You’re taking an excellent midfielder away from the middle of the pitch and asking him to play a role that doesn’t naturally suit his game.

And when Bruno came off, that was the moment Zubimendi should have gone straight into midfield. Simple.

Zubi is a fantastic midfielder. Let him play where he can actually influence the game instead of trying to force him into a position just to solve a problem elsewhere.

For me, that’s more on Arteta than Zubimendi. 🤷‍♂️🔴⚪️
