Our dancers performed a few scenes from Sleeping Beauty, which we are performing at the State Theatre 22-23 November.

I am Katlo Masemola. I enjoy going to farm school as it has different kinds of animals. What is more interesting for me is horse riding and swimming. Animals are my best buddies.

My name is Minkie and I'm 14 years old. I'm in Grade 7 at Pure Hope School, and I do ballet at Rhythm of Hope. My hobbies are Netball and dancing.

My name is Sarah Andrews. I'm 15 years old, and I'm homeschooled, which gives me more time to follow my passion for dance. I have been dancing since I was 2 years old, and I can say that it is a part of who I am, but outside of dance, I love music, art, and fashion.

My name is Isabella Heunis. I am 11 years old and in Laerskool Hennopspark. I love dancing and enjoy ballet classes with Teacher Alice van Biljon at Bliss'd Dance. I enjoy Modern Dance, Showdance, Lyrical and Contemporary. The dance studio is where I'm at my happiest, but I also enjoy painting and singing.

I am Edelweiss du Plessis, I am 11 years old and homeschooling. I started dancing when I was 2 and found my passion for ballet when I started Cecchetti ballet training at Rhythm of Hope Dance almost 8 years ago. I love animals, art, my family, and music. Dance is not something I do anymore but is part of who I am.

My name is Michaelle Martino. I am 20 years old and my ballet journey started at CMSD in Middelburg. I love dance and have been doing it for 11 years. I am currently studying biomechanics and sport science. In my free time, I enjoy painting and drawing.

My name is Zoë Dada and I am 15 years old. I have been doing ballet for the past 10 years (RAD). I attend Pro Arte Senior Dance Academy and my teacher is Christopher Montague. Dance is my happy place!

My name is Alyve and I'm 16 years old. I'm in grade 10 and go to Pretoria High School for Girls(PHSG).
I started dancing at the young age of 6 and that consisted of ballet, tap, lyrical, and acro. I resumed dancing in 2022 at my school after I hadn't danced during COVID-19. I'm really grateful for YDCT because it has given me the opportunity to get a preview of how dancing in a professional company would look and I really can't wait!
