One of my clients working through a 5x5 back squat @ 60kg during her strength cycle. Wanda has shown huge improvement in both her technique and confidence under the bar- prior to our journey she had never been able to move more than 40kg to parallel and confidence was an issue with the movement. While there is always room for improvement it is important to recognise the victories, be they big or small. This is a big one - well done and keep up the awesome work!

Its easy to get lost in the training terminology and lingo when your coach or personal trainer is giving you the workout breakdown (hopefully he or she is explaining these terminologies and not just trying to sound like a professor!). Improvising with my client Wanda this past week - her young man was with her for all her sessions so we got him involved in the workouts! Wanda has shown incredible commitment and discipline in her training and this is just another example of that.

LMS teams 2018 - had great fun with fellow athletes and friends in this event. Incredibly well run event, a great weekend. Always enjoy doing as many competitions as I can and getting my clients or fellow athletes to join in. Not only is it great to get involved with the fitness community but I find it helps keep up the focus and drive towards goals during training. Happy Monday peeps!

The ACA Throw down 2018 with team mate and friend Jesslyn Van Staden. Was a great experience brought to a premature finish due to a torn ligament in the ankle. Nonetheless a great experience, was amazing to see the variety of disciplines being showcased over the weekend. I often hear criticism between disciplines and in the fitness industry in general. It's events like these that remind us that every sport and discipline has a place and each one takes hard work, consistency and extensive time investement to become proficient. Huge amounts of respect to all athletes across all disciplines this past weekend. Keep up the grind!
