To clarify, you do not need to “qualify” for Season of Strength, our Nationals this year.
You will be divided into our DOTS based divisions, based on your DOTS on Open Powerlifting (https://www.openpowerlifting.org/)
No DOTS on Open Powerlifting / Brand New? You can still enter! We will place you in our Division 3, which is for new lifters.
Division 1:
Male: 400+ Dots
Female: 380+ Dots
Division 2:
Male: 250-399 dots
Female: 230 – 379 dots
Division 3: (this category is open to new lifters as well):
Male: 0-249 Dots
Female: 0-229 Dots
Season of Strength will be held in Gauteng, as per our calendar.
Keep an eye open for entries for Badger Classic, opening soon. Cape Carnage is also still open for entries.

Many of the legends of Powerlifting in South Africa felt like its time to revolutionize powerlifting in the country. Rhino Powerlifting Club (RPC) was established on the 9 February 2013 in Pretoria. RPC is affiliated with the Global Powerlifting Committee (GPC). We aim to take Powerlifting to the next level and restore some pride back in the sport. RPC is does not form part of SASCOC, SAIDS or any other government organisation.

Full powerlifting meet: Squat, Bench, Deadlift.
Beginner focussed - are you new to powerlifting? Come join us and experience your first powerlifting competition! We also accept lifters with 2-3 previous powerlifting meets that return from injury/hiatus. DM us if uncertain.
Full powerlifting kit is *not* required for first time lifters. Mandatory T-Shirts (squat and bench), and long socks (deadlifts) required for hygiene and safety reasons, including shoes with soles on all lifts.
Lifting per GPC rulebook.
We will be selling SBD lifting gear on the day at the venue, if you are interested in the best powerlifting kit in South Africa. Follow their page for releases and information!

Remembering Michael Snooke,
Rhino Powerlifting Club and Badger Athletic extends our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Michael's family, his friends, loved ones, and the powerlifting community.
Michael was an icon. He filled the room with his presence. He showed up. He was a good friend, and he will be dearly missed .
We remember him fondly, and his kindness, comraderie and presence we will miss more than we can say.
We miss you, Snookey.
