Born in 1982, I started dancing at the age of 6 years old. I was trained in Modern Dancing (SADTA), Ballet (RAD), Acrobatics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Tap, African, Jazz and show dance. I specialize in choreography, Modern dancing, Contemporary and Acrobatics. I started my role as a choreographer at the age of 17 as one of the choreographers for Hoërskool Zwartkop’s school plays. I won the Dance Cor a
ward for most original choreography in 2000 and had my piece performed at the State Theatre with the State Theatre Dance Company. In 1995 I represented South- Africa in the World Gymnaestrada in Berlin. I performed professionally for various dance companies namely Junior State Theatre Dance Company, KMAD dance company, African Dream and RT Concerts Production. I studied BTech DANCE at Tshwane University of Technology in 2001. I performed and stayed in Taiwan at Leofoo village in 2002. Since then I’ve worked professionally as a stage manager for various productions and competitions, choreographer, adjudicator and examiner. For the past three years I’ve taught modern/contemporary at Nicola Bosman Academy of Ballet. I’m also the choreographer for Lynet Du Plessis Acrobatic Studio in Centurion. I recently represented South Africa as a dancer in the South African Adult Formation team who participated in the IDO Modern World Championships in Poland, where we gained a silver medal. Dance is my passion and it is my honor to share the love and knowledge I have gathered over the years with those who want nothing more… thank to dance.
