Beyond the Arc Consulting hosted a clinic for kids and teachers from Soshanguve, Mabopane and Garankua. It was a great day of Basketball and the kids were excited as usual.

Thank you to each and everyone of the participants who came through to the Beyond the Arc Basketball Camp with Coach Neo on Thursday the 29th.

What an awesome day of fun and learning we had. Getting to know the kids was super cool.

With the feedback that we got, we will definitely be hosting more programmes.

Answer:

In order for us to adequately prepare for the camp participants we need to know the numbers we will work with before hand, therefore it will make life easier for all of us if you register and pay before the camp.

The purpose of the Beyond the Arc Basketball Camp with Coach Neo is to teach fundamentals of the game while also stressing the importance of hard work, positive attitude and good sportsmanship.

One of the fundamentals that will be covered under the triple threat heading is the dribbling/driving past your opponent.

These are some of the dribbling CUES to remember:

1. Balance - triple threat position, non dribbling hand should be out to protect the ball from defenders.

2. Hand Action - yo yo action, push ball hard to the floor, loose wrist, snap like a shooting follow through.

3. Eyes - Looking up the court for opportunities to involve your teammates.

We are hosting our first annual camp on the 29th March 2018 at Pretoria Boys High School. BTA offers a great basketball experience by teaching kids the fundamentals of the game as well as introducing life skills that are important for the growth of today's youth.

Come and learn first class instruction from former National team Captain and current University of Pretoria First Team Men's Coach, Neo Mothiba and our team. Our team of instructors include both male and female former National team players and some of the best coaches. They will share their passion for success on the court as well as teaching valuable life lessons.
