CGA MOURNS THE PASSING OF MR SESHOPHE MABOTE
Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) is deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Seshophe Mabote, a beloved former member of Randburg Harriers Athletics Club who also served on the club executive committee for a number of years.
The late Mr Mabote was a dedicated member of the running community and a passionate distance runner whose resilience, determination and commitment to athletics were evident throughout his involvement in his club. His love for running and perseverance made him a valued member of Randburg Harriers and the broader athletics fraternity.
Beyond his achievements on the road, Mr Mabote will be remembered for his warm personality, approachable nature and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He built meaningful friendships within his club and the wider running community, embodying the spirit of camaraderie, unity and mutual support that makes athletics more than just a sport.
His passing is a great loss to the athletics family. His contribution to the running community, the friendships he nurtured and the memories he leaves behind will remain part of the legacy he shared with fellow athletes and club members.
On behalf of the CGA Board, Management and the entire athletics fraternity, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Mabote family, his loved ones, friends and the Randburg Harriers family during this difficult time.
We encourage all affiliated clubs and members of our athletics community to join us in keeping the family and all those who knew and loved Mr Mabote in their thoughts during this period of mourning.
