Cannot be prouder of one of our pioneers of SA kendo on achieving is his 6th Dan in Switzerland . At 80 years old no less!!! Today we had a celebratory keiko and he fought everyone... Tough as nails and grit beyond measure. As a community we all chipped in for his trip and one of the best investments and easiest choice to make. Our own journeys in kendo couldn't have been experienced without his dedication to us all. Well done Ray Sensei! Deserved. RKC Dojo SAKF MEMBERS ONLY

Last of the Squad training before the WKC this weekend, still many Team sessions to carry on focusing on prep. We appreciate every SA kendoka that have supported us and helped us to prepare, "Ubuntu" a ancient African word 'I am what I am because of who we all are'...cannot be better described on how we lean on each other and help each other grow. Enjoyed some yummy Italian cuisine, with of course Gluhwein at Picola in Linden and ended off with new book day at Books Galore. I lovely weekend even though damn cold! Count down to WKC, excitement is brewing!

This year SA Kendo is making history as the first time a full woman's team has entered the WKC. Excited to fight along side Yentl Krugel, Denique Schreiber, Shakti Pearson-Daly, and Divana Aura Naidoo. and the Mens team Mitchell Kyle, Brendan Dateling, Brandon-lee Coskey, Charles and Phillip. Offcials : Michael Grice, Logann Naidoo, Johan Nienaber...More kendo! stronger with every session.

BEGINNERS KENDO COURSE – R850 IN TOTAL. *SPECIAL*- STARTS 5TH FEBRUARY 2022, 12-2pm Saturdays.
Includes :
- 3 months training
- Dojo t-shirt
- First grading
To wear for the course is tracksuit pants with dojo t-shirt. All other equipment is loaned from dojo unless you would like to buy which can be discussed.
