What started as a personal challenge became something so much bigger. Together with the RISE Against Comrades Hunger Champs, we raised an incredible R800,672 to help make a difference in the fight against hunger.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, supported, encouraged and believed in me. Your generosity helped me become the top fundraiser for 2026, raising R40,000 personally. 🙏

A special heartfelt thank you to Pepkor Lifestyle for their amazing R20,000 contribution, matching the total of all individual donations. Your support means more than words can say. ❤️

I am so proud of what we achieved together and now, we look ahead to 2027 and the 100th Comrades Marathon.

October 2026 marks World Mental Health Month (WMHM). This year's theme is Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.

The South African Federation for Mental Health is excited to announce a joint campaign with Run Walk For Life for the week of 05 October - 09 October 2026 to commemorate WMHM. During this week, you can head to your nearest Run/Walk For Life branch and join in on the fun. All fitness levels welcome!

Join us as we unite movement, awareness-raising, and lived-experience sharing to improve public understanding of mental health and reduce stigma across South Africa.
We encourage you to donate R50.00, or what you can, towards SAFMH programmes that bring hope, dignity, and support to communities across South Africa. 💚
