This is Vicky's story. And it's one we are incredibly proud to share. 🌸
After a broken hip and the debilitating muscle loss that followed prolonged bed rest, Vicky returned to Pilates looking for more than recovery — she was looking to feel whole again.
Using a carefully designed Jacqui Pilates Method and a STOTT Pilates recovery strategy, we worked with her body to restore her entire relationship with movement. Restoring mobility, rebuilding tone and flexibility, and awakening a structure that had been still for far too long.

Has your lower back been quietly talking to you?
Long hours at a desk. Long commutes. A sport played on one side for years. A habit of holding tension in the hips when life gets heavy. The pelvis quietly absorbs all of it — shifting, tilting, finding new positions to manage the load — until those positions become the new normal.
When we sit — at a desk, in a car, on a sofa — the hip flexors slowly shorten. And as they shorten, they pull the front of the pelvis downward, tipping it into what we call anterior tilt. The lumbar spine follows, arching slightly more than it should, and the load that was designed to be distributed across a healthy curve begins to concentrate in places it was never meant to hold.
This happens over months. Over years. Long before there is any pain, the pattern is already forming.
In STOTT Pilates, we work with something called pelvic placement. Before we ask the body to move, we ask it to simply find where the pelvis belongs — a position we call neutral, where the natural curve of the lumbar spine is preserved and the bones of the pelvis rest in their natural balance. Not tucked, not tilted. Just home.

They said stiffness is the price of ageing. Judy proved them wrong. 🌿
At 73, Judy was diagnosed with scoliosis. She could have accepted the stiffness, the weakness, the limitations — the way so many of us are told we must.
Instead, she chose differently.
Five years later, at 78, Judy is stronger and more flexible than when she first walked through our door. Not in spite of her age — but because she refused to let it define her.

It starts far more gently than you might expect.
Before anything else, we begin with a conversation — your goals, how your body has been, anything it’s carrying. That conversation shapes the entire session.
Then you are guided you through a few simple movements to understand how your body moves.
From there, you are introduced to the principles that sit at the heart of Pilates — how to breathe with intention, how to find your core. Quietly transformative, even on day one.
Your routine will be low-intensity and personal — enough to feel the work, gentle enough to feel safe and purposeful enough to feel meaningful.
If something doesn’t feel right at any point, you simply say so. This is your time, and your comfort is what guides us
No fitness level required. No flexibility needed. You don’t need to master a thing on your first day.
The only thing that matters is that you’ve chosen to begin. That’s enough. 🤍
