A new year does not begin with pressure, it begins with permission.
Permission to release old narratives that no longer carry truth.
Permission to pause before rushing into resolutions.
Permission to let God reshape not just what you do, but how you see yourself.
Scripture reminds us that transformation begins in the mind, but renewal is not self-repair, it is co-creation with Christ. We are not rewriting our story alone. We are allowing God to bring clarity, healing, and alignment to the thoughts we have carried for too long.
This year, don’t aim for perfection.
Aim for faithful attention to what you think, believe, and rehearse.
What you consistently return to will shape who you become, but grace sets the pace.

Sometimes we want clarity before obedience, but God often gives clarity through obedience. When you take the next step in faith, even when it feels small or uncertain, you make room for God to lead, provide, and shape what comes next. Trust grows as you walk, not while you wait.

At Christmas, I’m reminded that God didn’t arrive with noise or applause. He came in humility, wrapped in purpose. This season calls me back to what matters most. Faithfulness, presence, and a heart willing to make room for Him.

Rules are broken not because they are hard, but because motives change. Integrity is choosing faithfulness when bending the rules would be easier.

So many of us carry the same quiet questions. Who am I beyond what I do? Where do I belong? Am I enough as I am? Does my past define my future? What if I fail at what I feel called to do? Beneath all of these is a deeper question. Do I truly matter?
That is why I developed the 90 Day R.E.S.T. Journal. Not just to give you something to read, but to help you slow down, reflect, and apply truth to your everyday life. The R.E.S.T. method guides you to reflect on God’s Word, engage it with your own story, take intentional steps forward, and learn to trust God in the process.
This is about rediscovering who God says you are and living from that place with clarity and confidence.
90 Days to Rediscover Your Identity coming soon in digital format.

On my other profile people I posted a picture of my Seat Leon FR and people loved it, so I’m posting my undercover GTI here too.
And, the turbo finally tapped out, not bad for a 17 year old car. Not from speeding (of course not), just age… and maybe the occasional enthusiastic pull-off. anyone have a turbo lying around?
Life’s funny like that, sometimes you lose a bit of ‘boost’ so God can teach you to run on wisdom instead of adrenaline.
Still rolling. Still grateful. Just with slightly less turbo.

In the quiet places where my thoughts echo loudest, I feel His whisper steady my heart. Not every struggle needs an audience… some battles become sacred ground, where God reminds me who I am and who I’m still becoming.

Spending a quiet moment with the 90-Day R.E.S.T. Journal on Identity, letting God remind me who I am and who I’m becoming. These new 90-day journeys on Identity, Purpose, and Gratitude are almost ready. Each one will be available as a PDF version you can use on apps like GoodNotes, Notability, Penly, Samsung Notes, or any iPad or Android PDF annotator.
My prayer is that these tools help you hear His voice more clearly in your own story.
If you could let God reshape one area of your life over the next 90 days, which one would you surrender to Him, Identity, Purpose, or Gratitude?

Sitting here like I’ve got it all figured out… meanwhile God’s just smiling, knowing He’s still teaching me chapter by chapter.

Just a guy on a bench, thinking about life… and about the snacks I probably shouldn’t eat later and I love snacks. Funny how God uses moments like these to remind us that clarity often comes when we slow down and listen.
