Baboons are social creatures and live in troops.
They use more than 30 vocalisations to communicate. This includes grunts, barks, and screams. They also have many non-vocal gestures and this includes yawns, lip-smacking, and shoulder shrugs.
Chacma Baboons are omnivores and they are able to disperse at least 24 different seed species. This is much more than those dispersed by a broad range of birds, reptiles or other mammals. It is also nearly five times more than that dispersed by domestic goats.
