When you can't be assed to cook (which literally happens), but you can still make it work! It's unrealistic to say you have to prep every single meal because sometimes it won't happen!

Save this post so that you can keep this with you when you run out of ideas! ☺️

➡️1st slide: Roast chicken, microwaveable brown rice and cole slaw. I'm not saying have the whole chicken but you can cut it up into pieces and have left overs for your next meal.

➡️2nd slide: A wrap. Such an easy go to if you don't have time! You can use chicken slices OR falafel balls if you're vegetarian. This is just an idea but feel free to add on or replace with what you prefer.

➡️3rd slide: A sandwich made from deli slices (ham or chicken are great options). Pesto is a great base for flavor in your sandwich!

➡️4th slide: You can make use of a wide selection of ready made satisfying meals you can pop in the microwave. I'll give it to woolworths, they have better options for this 🥵 but you can also get ready made meal items from your local supermarket. You can also look at meal prep companies to help!

Easy, peasy.

We all know that quality of food matters (which you should always include in your diet) but there IS a way to include fast food options and still stay on track without the guilt ✔️ sometimes a take away option is the only go to option at that point in your day.

"The only weight loss solution we will not accept is a normal diet and exercise".

Ain't that the truth? 🤯

Results of a fad diet may come quick and may come drastic, but how long do those results last for? Not very long.

Beware of these buzzwords used to lure you in the vicious cycle of dieting, especially through fad diets and unsustainable practices

This takes a toll on your metabolism and you'll end up gaining MORE weight.

I was inspired to do this after seeing a post, and I admit, posting healthy meals can be boring. 🙃

But on a serious note..

There is still a great deal of misinformation surrounding flexible dieting. You might be able to use it, or you might not be able to use.

Although I post the more fun foods, most of what I eat is boring stuff, which fuels me, provides me with nutrients, and is within my budget. Implementing both fun foods and healthy foods is what has allowed me to maintain my physique and keep me sane 🤯

I don't actually use the term "if it fits your macros" as much because it insinuates you can eat WHATEVER the hell you want and still get results, which is far from the truth..unless you're a genetic freak.

You should be able to adapt your diet to a situation or not skip out on ice cream when you feel like it without feeling guilty or feel like you are not disciplined enough.

This is balance my friends and this is what I teach my clients too.

This is your reminder that you DON'T HAVE to spend 7 days a week in the gym. 😵

In fact, you could get optimal results training 3-4 times a week. It will obviously depend on what type of activity you are doing and your goals, but training volume plays a much bigger role than training frequency.

How often have you struggled with the 'more is better' mentality? If you answered "umm, all the time!" then this is your love note that there are other options.

Spending your life in the gym is not the only way, I promise!

Okay real talk.

How often have you felt frozen in place because there's a goal you want to achieve, but seems to big or too scary?

So instead of leaping, you lock those feet to the ground and don't move an inch 🤯

Maybe you want to feel better in your skin.

Maybe you want to lose a few inches to feel confident again.

Or maybe you just simply want to change your lifestyle to improve your health.

Whatever it is, I want you to know that I get it. And I get why you could be frozen in that place.

But here's the realistic talk I can give you.

You don't have to have it all figured out to completely go all in with your fitness goals. You just need to start heading in that direction.

Is snacking getting in the way of your fat loss goals? 🤌

Here are some tips and idea to help you. The key is PREPARATION. It's tempting to want to snack on more palatable foods like chips and chocolate (absolutely nothing wrong with it) BUT these calories can add up pretty quickly if you start grazing on them all day.

Here are some healthy options but ifyou do end up having a sugary snack, pair it with a protein source, which will keep you satisfied until your next meal.

Can one really boost their metabolism for fat loss? 🧐

Your metabolism is all the chemical processes that happen in the body – it is what is needed to maintain life and provide energy to all vital processes in the body. It powers EVERYTHING! How fast your metabolic rate is largely genetics, how much lean muscle mass you have, gender, age, and amount of physical activity performed.

Unfortunately, the fat loss industry mainly pushes products that make false promises of boosting metabolic rate for quicker fat loss. There are also false theories that are spread which are mainly misinformation. Unfortunately, you cannot just take a pill, drink some tea, and call it a day. 🤚 The evidence that certain foods also boost your metabolism is still lacking and you still gotta put in the work.

And no, your metabolism hasn’t slowed down over time or is sluggish (there are a few circumstances this could happen where you are taking certain medications). We THINK that as you get older our metabolism slows down, whereas the reality is you have just become more sedentary over time, therefore, your fat mass to lean nass ratio increases and your energy expenditure decreases🥺

If you are concerned, take a blood test, otherwise, you may need to re-assess your lifestyle choices.

Should you reduce training intensity when dieting?

Logic says you should, but science says no ❌️

Strength training elicits a whole bunch of processes which induce muscle growth and repair, most important one being muscle protein synthesis.

Don't make any drastic changes to your current strength training program, and contuniously try to progressively overload to preserve the muscle mass you worked hard for.
