SAFA presidential voting explained

SAFA’s president is not elected by the public.

The president is chosen by 52 SAFA regions, PSL, associate members and the NEC.

A candidate needs a majority of valid votes to win. FIFA and CAF observers are expected to monitor the process.

The company and the people behind the NFD’s new popular club, Hope FC 🔴

Founded in October 2025, Hope FC is the sports-for-development arm of Cape Town-based social innovation organisation RLabs, founded by Marlon and Rene Parker.

They co-founded the club alongside former midfielder and current Chairman/CEO Keagan Buchanan.

RLabs has used its technology, digital and community network to build Hope FC from the ground up — including infrastructure, kits and facilities — and into the professional ranks in just 10 months.
