About Doula Lilla and what she offers.
I come from a 25 year career in corporate finance, which often left me at odds with my basic nature, which is to serve, and unfulfilled on an emotional and spiritual level.
My journey as a doula happened almost by accident, when a very good friend of mine fell pregnant and was looking at hiring a doula, when I helped her with doing research, I realised I had found my calling and have since qualified with a WOMBS doula certificate in June 2018.
Part of our training involved volunteering in the public sector, which I still practice today, volunteering at Hillbrow MOU and Far Eastrand Hospital. In the private sector, I provide non-medical services to mothers and their families throughout their pregnancies and on their birth journeys at home or at clinics and hospitals.
