World Schizophrenia Day 🧠
Creating awareness on Schizophrenia and the myth that goes with it. Schizophrenia is a disorder that affects the way a person thinks, behaves and feels clearly. Incorporating exercises and a balanced routine could help keep the onset of other health problems at bay.

Heart Awareness Month❤
In honor of Heart Awareness Month, we celebrate one of the most important organs in our bodies.
Our heart has many function, mainly keeping us alive and circulating our blood to the rest of our bodies.
Heart health is an important factor in what classifies as a healthy individual.
Ways to keep your heart healthy are:
1. Reducing your stress and having a healthy stress outlet for example yoga or meditation.
2. Healthy eating
3. Exercising- incorporating at least 30 min of exercise daily.
4. Drinking enough water

Strain vs Sprain
Muscular sprains and strains cause constant confusions as their symptoms are quite similar. Both experience swelling, limited flexibility, difficulty in moving the joint to its full range, pain around the affected area but the difference comes in where sprains causes bruising in the affected area and strains cause muscular spasms.
A muscular strain consists of the tearing of muscle fibers and occurs when a muscle is stretched beyond its limits or when it is forced to contact too strongly.
Mild cases of sprains and strains are treated similarly that requires your RICE principle.

📍Elevation
In more severe cases it would be difficult walking or standing without pain, tingling sensation around the joint or inability to bend or move the joint. Doctors will assess and refer.
In mild cases return to activity should be limited at day 3. Moderate injuries require around a week or 2 of rest before resuming activities.
Consult your health care provider if you have any insecurities or questions regarding your return back to exercises.
