Biokineticists offer both proactive and reactive services, assisting in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, neurological abnormalities, orthopedic complications, metabolic abnormalities, heart conditions, and hypokinetic conditions. They also provide final phase injury management.
The ankle plays a critical role in our movement and stability. Its main functions include:
Mobility: The ankle allows for a wide range of motion, including dorsiflexion (lifting the foot upwards), plantarflexion (pointing the foot downwards), inversion (turning the sole inward), and eversion (turning the sole outward). This mobility is essential for walking, running, jumping, and other dynamic activities.
Stability: The ankle helps maintain balance by adjusting to uneven surfaces and changes in direction. Its stability is crucial for preventing falls and injuries.
Overall, the ankle is integral to efficient movement and balance, making it essential for both everyday activities and athletic performance.
