To The Madibu & Lephuting, Gawaza Family
On behalf of all of Prime Group , we want to salute you.
At the Cross Country Nationals, while many children ran with their legs, your child ran with your love behind them. You were there. You showed up. You shouted, you supported, you stood in the sun for your child.
This is what true parenting looks like.
To the Black community, to us parents - we must learn from the Madibu & Lephuthing, Gawaza family.
For too long we thought supporting our children is only paying school fees and buying uniform. The Madibus & Lephuthings, Gawaza have reminded us that presence is more powerful than presents.
When a child sees their mother and father on the sidelines, they don't just run a race - they run with confidence. They run knowing they belong. They run knowing someone believes in them.
The impact of your support is bigger than you think:
1. It builds self-worth: A child who is supported never has to ask "Am I worth showing up for?"
2. It builds resilience: When they get tired at 2km, your voice gives them the strength to finish.
3. It builds champions off the track: Today it's Nationals, tomorrow it's matric, interviews, life. A supported child becomes a confident adult.
Madibu & Lephuthing, Gawaza family, you did not just support your own child - you set a standard for all of us. You showed us that our children don't need perfect parents, they need _present_ parents.
We are proud of your child, but today we are even more proud of YOU.
