JUST R15
Yesterday, our hearts were broken by what was done to this beautiful girl. Her leg had been cruelly cut off by humans. We cannot begin to imagine the pain she endured.
And yet… she kept going.
She walked along the road carrying pain that no animal should ever have to experience, following a stranger until she finally reached people who were willing to help and call us.
She was taken to the Evander Clinic, to receive the care she so desperately needed.
And then this morning, something happened that reminded us why we keep fighting.
A schoolgirl from out of town came to us and simply wanted to contribute R15 towards her account.
To some, that may seem like a small amount.
To us, it is enormous.
Because that R15 was given from a heart that understood one very important thing:
KINDNESS
It doesn't matter what colour the dog is, what breed she is or where her home was.
What matters is the animal.
This dog didn't ask for what happened to her. She didn't deserve it. She couldn't defend herself against the cruelty inflicted upon her.
But she survived.
And she kept going until someone cared enough to stop and help.
That is why we do what we do at Little Paws Big Hearts.
Because every animal deserves compassion, dignity and a chance.
And sometimes, the smallest act of kindness can mean the world to a life that has known nothing but suffering.
To the schoolgirl who gave her R15 — THANK YOU !
