Sedgefield is in the midst of a dry period awaiting imminent - hopefully - autumn rains. Our river was at 1.5m Friday and our Boreholes are providing sufficient water according to Knysna Municipality. The adjacent PG Bison Boreholes are providing some water - trucked - to Knysna and outlying areas under Gift of the Givers.

Knysna is facing one of the most challenging water periods in recent years. Our efforts depend on how responsibly every resident and business uses the available water.

Strict and responsible water use by all residents, businesses, and visitors therefore remains essential. Below are our current water statistics as of 31 January 2026:

As a water-saving measure, showers and external taps at ablution facilities and in public spaces remain closed. Residents are urged to ensure that all taps are closed during water interruptions to prevent water losses once supply is restored.
