The Loose Goose Pleasure Cruises

The newly refurbished Loose Goose is once again on the water looking forward to regular lake trippers and new faces this year, (2023) as I've done for the last twenty years.

The Loose Goose has been refurbished by Fred at One Stop Marine and will be in the water at Pine Lake Marina from the end of September 2022.

The Loose Goose was out of the water for major work the the deck, hull and superstructure in 2022, and is longing to take people out on Swartvlei lake this year.

The Goose continues . . . despite the co vid restrictions, winter means no wind, so the cruises are very sedate.

No activity on the lake allowed, so . . .
The Loose Goose is out of action
for the next two weeks. (December 2020)

Back in operation again, first trip since March . .

A Trip Advisor review: "One of the things we always go back for is a cruise on Swartvlei on the 'Loose Goose', a twin hull ferry seating about 12 people. They do hour-long sunset cruises with snacks and drinks and during the day the half-hour cruises - excellent value for the wealth of local information that Captain Saney shares with his passengers, along with his anecdotes. Great fun.
One of the things I learned yesterday is that Sunderland Flying Boats landed on the lake on the way between Durban and Cape Town. Lots of information on local birdlife too, the breeding habits of fish eagles, and more." Michael RP
