Helderberg Wild Cats
Amateur Cricket Teams based the Helderberg Basin Who are the Helderberg Hawks? The age groups are u11, u12, u13, u15, u17, u19 & a Senior team.
We are one of four franchise teams making up the Boland Premier League tournament starting in October 2022. The Hawks consist of seven age group teams who will all participate in this tournament in 2022 and years to come. Our primary aim is to bring opportunities for cricketers of all ages in the Helderberg area and elsewhere in the Boland to showcase their talent on a wider stage
So we are in week three of the Boland T20 and the Wildcats have a record of 22 games played 20 wins, 2 losses and a cleansweep 11 wins this past weekend. Well done boys, here's looking forward to the final at Boland Park this Friday
As the start of the Boland T20 draws near some of the sports future, past and present hero's were asked to send well wishes to the boys. Thanks to Jimmy and the team for organising this, really special to hear these words of encouragment from these great cricketers.
He may not have been the most elegant, but man can the boys learn a lot from his guts and powers of concentration....Mr Dean Elgar

So as the tour comes to an end, cricket has built a bunch of strangers into a team. Friends and memories will last forever, and cricket was the catalyst. Thank you to Wayne Hendricks, Damian Fuller the coaches, to Rouger Moult and Calvin Fabig for the meticulous arrangements from the superb coach the boys travelled in, the flights, the accommodation and of course the opposition, would not have been possible without you. Thank you to all the parents who sacrificed so much to create this opportunity for the boys. They were great ambassadors for their schools, academies and country. We had several umpires comment how polite our players were.....
The tour will take place again next year and we invite all Wild Cats who are least 15 years old to consider this opportunity of a lifetime.

Day two and it happened in England, RAIN! We travelled to Sedbergh school anyway, and were greeted by one of the most picturesque grounds we have ever seen. Unfortunately waterlogged, we are hoping to play them later in the week if it dries up.
Sedbergh school turns 500 years old next year and the clubhouse was built before most of our schools even existed. We look forward to them touring South Africa next year.

First day and a nailbiter, ending in a draw. Our boys, short of a bit of middle time eeked out a draw against Myerscough college. Both teams ended on 199 after 30 overs.
