Hi There, Mom’s and Dad’s! Having received many inquiries lately regarding swimming lessons, I thought it would be good to share some information regarding Guardian Baby and Toddler Swim Instruction. My main focus is on teaching babies and toddlers (aged 1 to 7) basic water safety and swimming techniques and I have a passion for working with disabled and special needs kids. I am SSI (Swim Schools International) qualified (with First Aid level 3 and Police clearance) but I mostly use Australian “Uswim” techniques for teaching. I play classical music in the background during lessons as I believe it creates a calming environment. I don’t believe in forcing a child to do something he or she is not ready for. I try to avoid crying in the water – I want children to have respect for the water, but also learn to love it, so I teach with that in mind. Swimming lessons are about more than just saving your child’s life – it’s also about learning new skills, building confidence and stimulating the brain on a deeper level so don’t delay, the earlier they start, the better!
