This truly has been a year of great recovery ❤️🩹 from what we all have been through in the previous years.
As coaches our vision always been to do our best to provide for you our members a platform of growth to develop your health.
As leaders we believe that the only way up is to go down through sacrifice and having a servant heart attitude.
Having said that, with that in mind we have managed to equip you with over half a million rands worth of new gym equipment thanks to all the support from our on going growth.
We have also managed to widen our scope by establishing three new time-slots for our legends, ladies and beginners.
None of this would have been possible without God’s Grace.
Our prayer is always for Him to send us the right people.
We praise Him for that and thank you for listening to your heart and joining our gym.
From the coaching staff of CEY CrossFit we pray that in 2023 you may prosper in all things and be in good health just as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2

You are only as fit as you are competent in each of the below 10 skills:
▪️Cardio ▪️Stamina ▪️Strength ▪️Flexibility ▪️Power ▪️Speed
▪️ Accuracy ▪️Agility ▪️Balance ▪️Coordination
If you consider becoming fit or physically competent at any age, then all 10 of these general physical skills must be considered and developed irrespective of your age yet relative to your age.
CrossFit has the structure and provides a level of coaching which sets us apart from regular gyms.
It allows people from the ages of 16 to 78 to improve on these skills and put youth back into their lives.

The amazing thing about Friday’s workout is that everyone were able to do it, whether they were 55 years old or 24.
As tough as what some workouts may seem on paper 📝, you can be rest assured we will find a way for you to succeed at it in a safe environment.

Our new joiners have successfully completed their beginners course under the watchful eye of coach and we are looking forward into releasing them to our standard classes.
Their journey to health and real fitness has just begun.

▪️Trudy was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis in the past and is a Breast Cancer survivor.
▪️She had a history of:
-Asthma
-Hyponatremia
-Thrombosis
▪️Trudy made a behavioural choice and took ownership of her health:
-She joined .e.y.crossfit 6 months ago which was not an easy journey for her.
-We created a timeslot called ; “Legends”, an environment which caters for members such as herself, and allows them to grow together.
Even though there were moments when she felt like giving up, Trudy understood her purpose and that kept her focused and determined.
Today Trudy is an example of what faith with diligence in action looks like.
She has overcome every obstacle the enemy has placed in front of her.
She is walking out of her health the way God has purposed it.
As coaches, we are grateful to be used by God to teach people how to live and enjoy the fruit of REAL FITNESS.

The battle against mental and physical illness needs to be defeated in the mind first.
▪️Ask yourself 3 questions:
1: Do I want to see myself becoming the fittest and healthiest version of what I am potentially capable of?
2: Am I willing to sacrifice time apart from distractions which seems important to me like; working late, socials and drinking, or doing nothing at all…
3: Am I willing to put up with short-term discomfort,
iow; Times which I won’t enjoy.
If your answer is “NO” to any of them, it's important for you to be content with where you are at physically and mentally and enjoy life for its worth.
If your answer is “YES” to all three, then consider the following:
1. Put your trust in a coach and a fitness program which is:
▪️observable
▪️repeatable
▪️measurable
2. Make sure that the environment you're placing yourself in meets your current level of physical shortcomings and abilities.
3. Accept full responsibility for your choices, results and your emotions.
When joined our program she was physically restricted with most movements and could barely get down on the ground and stand up without injuring herself.
She was in a very dark space mentally, but Ilana asked herself the above mentioned questions and took action.
She understood the definition of trust, the terms and conditions of responsibility and the cost of short term discomfort for long term gain.
Today Ilana gets to enjoy her health the way it was purposed for.

• High Volume Back Squat & Shoulder Press
• 2-3RM Olympic Lifting Cycles.
• Core work and Leg work for developing midline stability and overall leg strength.
