Sgt H.C. Janse Van Rensburg of the SA Police COIN (Counter Insurgency) Unit was killed In Action. He was shot and killed during a contact on active service in Rhodesia. He was 26.

Cst J.J. Henning:-

Cst Dobbin and Cst Henning of the SA Police COIN (Counter Insurgency) Unit were killed In action. They were killed in a landmine explosion during active service in the Caprivi Strip in South West Africa.

Cst W.P Dobbin was 19. His grave is situated in the Greytown Cemetery in KZN.

Cst J.J. Henning was 28. His grave is situated in the Southpark Cemetery in Bloemfontein Free State.

Cst du Plessis of the SA Police COIN (Counter Insurgency) Unit was killed in action on active service. He was killed in a landmine explosion at Opuwo in Kaokaland, South West Africa, in a SA Police Landrover reg nr SDA 129. He was 27.

The grave of Cst J.A du Plessis is situated in the Langberg Cemetery in Brits, North West Province.
