🏌️♂️ LangSlaners Golf Team
The Langslaners rolled into Glenvista Country Club for an afternoon tee-off, and boy, did the afternoon show up at the end of the round.
The sun didn't shine on everyone equally, boys. Some balls went looking for water. Others decided they'd rather explore the bushveld far, far away from any golf club that could reach them.
Baie ver van als en lekker veilig.
The greens? Challenging. Player management? Also challenging — for a few of our boys it looked less like golf and more like crowd control.
But listen — good golf WAS played. Dreams of a good day were had (RIP those dreams, some of them). There were rocket drives that split the fairway, and there was dart-throwing at the par 3's — some landed like Gary Player, others like they were aiming for the flag on the NEXT hole.
Course itself was well manicured — Glenvista, you did us proud. Just maybe throw a few extra tons of sand in those bunkers before we come back? Some of our boys practically moved in there for the day.
All in all — a great day for the boys.
Now the real talk: a few of the guys are eyeing the tour life and shiny new Blade clubs after this round. Ambisie is hoog. Others... let's just say the Blades can wait a season or three.
Two months, boys. Club Champs is coming for the Langslaners.
This one's going to be tough. So let's hope, let's pray, that the handicap system stays online and doesn't glitch out when it's time to enter those scores... because we all know some of us need every shot of that handicap. 😅
Dankie Glenvista
