Bowls in the Lowveld

MPU Lowveld hosted the play-off rounds of the Mixed pairs tournament over the weekend of 20 & 21 January 2024.

48 Teams entered the competition and LVCC and Nelspruit Bowls Club acted as host clubs for the Tournament. The winners of each section advanced to the play-offs on Saturday 27 January 2024 at LVCC.

The competition in the final round was very strong with only 1 point difference between the Winners, Dennis & Miranda Paiva and 2nd place Lood van Rooyen & Madaleine de Klerk, both teams from Nelspruit Bowls Club.

An excellent driving shot by Danie Theron (NST Bowls Club) on the last head ensured a 1 point lead and overall 3 rd place with wife Elzette as Lead. Deon & Hermine Ferreira from Waterval Boven Bowls Club ended in 4th place.

Well done on an awesome tournament and good luck to the four teams with the Mpumalanga play-offs in April

Our Juniors in action at the u/15 Junior Nationals in Bloemfontein

Theo Ingram, Linda Partridge & Arthur Partridge received their Mpumalanga colors and will join the u/15 team at the Nationals in Bloemfontein from 3 - 7 April. Well done and good luck. We are very proud of you.
