Feel Good Friday 💛

Thank you, Warrior coaches.

Head coaches, assistant coaches, goalkeeper coaches, team managers and every volunteer who gives up their time: you are the quiet heroes of this academy.

You teach the skills and you mentor the person. You set the standard for discipline and respect. You encourage our players in their faith and point them to Christ. You drive players to training and matches, and you show up in the sun, the wind and the rain, week after week.

Our Warriors grow on and off the field because of you. Baie dankie!

Training Tip Thursday ⚽

A good first touch buys you time. A bad one gives the ball away.

1️⃣ Get in line with the ball early and stay on your toes.
2️⃣ Keep the receiving foot soft and relaxed. Cushion the ball, don’t stab at it.
3️⃣ Take your first touch away from pressure, into space you’ve already seen.

Practise at home: pass against a wall with one foot, control with the other. 50 touches a day, any surface.

Heroes aren’t born on match day. They’re built at training. God Our Armour.

One thing about God: when He sees you trying, He'll handle the rest.

Word Wednesday ✝️

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” — Ephesians 6:10–11 (NIV)

This is where our slogan comes from. Our strength doesn’t start with our legs or our lungs. It starts with the Lord. Before every training session and every match, we put on His armour first.

Prayer: Lord, make us strong in You this week, on the field and off it. Amen.

God Our Armour. Jesus is King.
