Jeremiah 17:7–8📖

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose trust is the LORD.

He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

DEVOTION✝️

A tree does not survive difficult seasons because there is never heat or drought. It survives because of where its roots are planted.

Our lives are the same.

Trusting God does not mean that we will never experience difficult moments, disappointment, uncertainty or pressure. It means that when those seasons come, our foundation remains unchanged.
When our trust is in the Lord, we do not have to allow our circumstances to determine our faith. We can continue growing, continue believing and continue bearing fruit, even through difficult seasons.
The question is not whether the heat will come.

The question is: Where are your roots planted?🌿

PRAYER 🙏🏽

Dear God,
Help me to trust in You and to understand that trusting You brings blessings.
No matter what goes on in my life, help me remember that it will all work out because my faith is in You.
When difficult seasons come, keep me rooted in You. When I am uncertain, give me peace. When I am afraid, strengthen my faith.

May my trust remain in You through every season.
