No flooding at Anchor Park - 170mls of rain measured on the property and the going was perfect for riding the next day. We did prepare - to make sure that if the widespread flood predictions occurred the horses would be fed. Ryan (injured and on one leg) and Peter (77 years young) raised up 1500kg's of concentrates and 6 huge round teff rolls. Also very grateful no major damage from the hectic winds. Thinking of all the people and animals affected by the horrendous weather

Regular exercise in an open space helps build fitness, develop condition, and settle the mind.

The herd recently made it very clear how they felt about getting back into the river field after it had been rested for a month.
Regular paddock alternation, resting and recovery means better grazing, healthier horses, and moments like this.

What an athlete!
Indie Rock – young thoroughbred, fresh off the track and learning to jump in our dedicated loose school. Young horses being reschooled need time, space and the right set-up. Great to see strength, balance and a good brain coming together.
Plenty to come from this one.
