🌟 READY TO SHINE AT SANESA NATIONALS! 🌟

What an incredible, action-packed clinic at Zalala Equestrian Centre with Coach Danéll van Rooyen! She definitely didn’t make it easy, but pushing our limits is exactly what built our confidence for the big stage! 💪🐴

Here’s how our final prep went down:

🪵 Working Hunter: We tackled a course full of “scary” fillers and natural obstacles. The horses were brave, the riders were focused, and we’re officially ready for whatever the judges throw at us!

🎯 Equitation: Precision was key! We fine-tuned our test riding, nailed our stride counting, and maximized our arena space. Every judge’s command from this season was put to the test: eyes up, weight down in the heels, look to the next fence, soft knees, and elastic elbows!

📐 Gridwork & Rhythm: Sunday morning started with straightness and pole work in trot and canter to sharpen our eyes and lock in our rhythm.

🚀 Show Jumping: All that preparation paid off—everyone absolutely nailed the show jumping course! The horses feel fit, bouncy, and primed to perform.

We are leaving this weekend feeling focused, prepared, and confident.

Next stop: 2026 SANESA Nationals at Kyalami! 🏆✨

He’s exactly where he needs to be—filling up little children’s hearts, soaking up all the love, and being the absolute best boy ever! 🌟🐴
Whether it’s teaching the youngest riders confidence, carrying them through their very first rounds, or just standing patiently for endless hugs and treats, Flings proves every single day that some horses are just born with pure magic.
There’s nothing quite like watching a special horse make big dreams feel possible for small riders. We couldn't be prouder of our boy! ❤️✨

Consistency isn’t about everything going right—it’s about showing up even when things are tough. 🌟🐴

Watching Anchené and Elmoné in their lessons is a constant reminder of what true dedication looks like. They don’t have the easiest horses, but they’ve put in the time to learn them inside and out. Despite every setback along the way, they keep showing up, working hard, and coming back stronger every single time.

They are truly becoming the best versions of themselves as riders and horsewomen. Keep facing those challenges head-on—all that grit and consistency will pay off, and everything is going to fall into place.

So proud of the journey you’re on! Keep pushing! 💪✨

That feeling when you stop micromanaging and let the grid do the teaching. 🐴✨

Yesterday’s session was all about balance, rhythm, and patience. It’s so tempting to step in and fix every little distance, but there’s magic in setting up the gymnastic, staying out of their way, and letting the horse figure the puzzle out on their own.

Sometimes, riding the same exercise over and over until it feels 110% automatic is the exact reset both horse and rider need. No rushing, no forcing—just letting the rhythm do the work.

Slow progress is still progress. Trust the process, trust the grid. 🙌👇

Winter is finally fading, and the yard is bursting back to life with vibrant spring colour 🌸🐴✨

After the recent rain, every corner of Zalala Equestrian Centre is turning lush, green, and bright. There is a whole new energy in the air—and in the arena! As our surroundings transform for the new season, we’re reminded of how much our own riding journeys mirror the yard: constantly growing, blooming, and getting better together. Working as a team and building our yard with love and compassion. ❤️❤️🌱🌱

There’s nothing quite like the smell of wet earth, clean air, and fresh beginnings in the arena. 🌧️🐴❤️
